The AWPer’s announcement all but confirms recent reports regarding Cloud9’s roster, who are currently exploring potential additions. With Jake “Stewie2K” Yip also believed to be departing to SK to replace Epitacio “TACO” de Melo, the American team are currently looking at Josh “jdm64” Marzano and Richard “Xizt” Landström to complete their roster.
Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham was the longest-serving member of the current roster, having been part of the organization since April 2015, when he and Ryan “freakazoid” Abadir replaced Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Khan and Kory “SEMPHIS” Friesen.
The 24-year-old helped Cloud9 grab titles at ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals and most recently the ELEAGUE Major, as well as several runners-up finishes at large-scale events in the past three years.
Skadoodle’s Tweet suggests he may be taking a break from competing, although it is unclear whether he remains tied to the Cloud9 organization.
