The 4 player co-op kill ’em-up Warhammer: Vermintide 2 was released back in March of this year. We reviewed the game back then and outright fell in love with it. Developer Fatshark explained in their roadmap that the first DLC would be arriving in May. Look at a calendar and you know that Fatshark is three months late. To say that fans are not happy is an understatement. But it seems like we’ll get to take the ‘Ubersreik Five’ through an all new adventure very soon.

The latest issue of White Dwarf, the official promotional magazine from Games Workshop has listed ‘Shadows Over Bögenhafen‘ as the upcoming DLC for Vermintide 2. According to the magazine, “In this expansion, you get to journey to Bögenhafen, where a terrible plague has overcome the inhabitants. You and your fellow adventurers must find out what’s happening and get to the source of the evil (Hint: it might have something to do with Nurgle.)”

We now have confirmation that the Ubersreik Five will be venturing into port town of Bogenhafen and it seems like the majority of the maps will be set at night time. The magazine also mentions that the DLC will introduce ‘Daemons’ from the Warhammer fantasy universe into the game. It is not mentioned whether the DLC will introduce more weapon types and skins for all five characters, but it is highly unlikely that Fatshark won’t agree to a popular fan demand.

We’ll let you know as soon as we hear more.
