Capcom, a leading global developer and publisher of video games, today unveiled the latest trailer for Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth main installment in the world-renowned survival horror franchise. Alongside the new footage, Capcom confirmed that a Nintendo Switch 2 version of the title will also launch worldwide on 27 February 2026—the same day as the previously announced PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam versions.

On that date, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard and Resident Evil Village will also launch on Nintendo Switch 2, giving fans the chance to experience three acclaimed chapters of the series together on next-generation hardware. This simultaneous release will allow even more players to enjoy a new dimension of survival horror across multiple platforms.

As the newest chapter in the saga, Resident Evil Requiem has already sparked tremendous anticipation with its cutting-edge graphical presentation, haunting depiction of a ruined Raccoon City, and an innovative gameplay system that enables players to seamlessly switch between first-person and third-person perspectives in real time.

Story of Resident Evil Requiem

Everything is set in motion when a body—the victim of an unidentifiable disease—is discovered in an abandoned hotel. FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft is assigned to the case. But the crime scene is at the very same hotel where her mother died eight years ago. Grace prepares to finally face the past and makes her way to the scene, but this one case leads to uncovering the hidden truth behind the outbreak in Raccoon City—the biological disaster that shook the world. On 27 February 2026, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard and Resident Evil Village will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 alongside Resident Evil Requiem.
