Rainbow Six Siege will be getting a permanent price cut on all its editions. All digital and retail versions will be getting discounted, and will also get additional DLC operators with each edition higher than Standard.
The Starter Edition will be permanently removed from all stores, and will be replaced by the base game at the same price. All current Starter Edition owners will be automatically upgraded to the new base game, allowing them to unlock operators following the original game’s Renown costs, with all previous progress carrying over.
In 2019, with the fourth year of Rainbow Six Siege, all DLC operators will be discounted and will follow a scaling system, allowing players to unlock DLC operators easily, with older operators having a reduced Renown cost than newer ones. A formal announcement about the same is expected at the Rainbow Six Invitational.
