Dark Light

Originally announced last September during Ubisoft Connect, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is a full-blown remake of the beloved Ubisoft classic of the same name. Sadly, the game didn’t really have the best first impression from fans of the series. Being developed in-house at Ubisoft’s Indian studios located in Mumbai and Pune, the reveal trailer was subjected to heavy criticisms for its lackluster visuals and art direction. Handing off one of the biggest IPs that made Ubisoft what it is today to an inexperienced team was also a cause for concern for the die-hard fans of the series (even for those from India).

The game, which was originally set to release on the 21st of this month has now been officially delayed to an unspecified date. With the pandemic still in full-swing in many parts of the world, it’s no surprise that the game is receiving a much-needed delay. This extra time will allow the developers to put more work into the game and hopefully bring it to a more polished state than what was shown at the reveal – the original classic deserves that much.
