Nintendo’s highly anticipated augmented-reality game, Pokémon GO, has quietly appeared on Google Play and Apple App Store.
Pokémon GO, developed by Niantic Labs, is out now for both iOS and Android in select countries.
It is reportedly available in Australia and New Zealand, whereas, it has not yet available in US and Japan but will soon start rolling out.
The game is about catching Pokémons and train ’em to battle at gyms, in augmented-reality though. It uses your smartphone’s camera, sensors and GPS as well. It’ll collect information about your location to place Pokémon in the real word. And to capture those creatures you need to travel around landmarks and nearby locations in your city.
Pokémon Go is a freemium app, that means it’s free to play and download but it does contain microtransactions ranging from $0.99 to $99.99.
Pokemon GO Plus, a wrist-wearable, is also due out sometime this month, which lets you play the game without picking your phone out.
Nintendo is pretty quite about the release date, however, they hinted it during this year’s E3. So much so that they gave a surprise to their fans who were eagerly waiting for the game’s release.
