Yesterday, 2K announced a sweet new Bioshock collection which contains the original Bioshock, Bioshock 2 and Bioshock Infinite all rolled up into 1 neat package. The collection will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One this September. You can check out the announcement trailer below.

Well soon, after the trailer was released, most Bioshock fans wanted to know if current owners of the series, get any kind of discount or waiver? Well PC Gamer announced on their FB page today that

PC gamers who already own all 3 Bioshock games, can bag the Bioshock collection for free.

It’s still not clear if the deal extends to console owners as well, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it is. I on a personal level feel that remasters are more often than not for people who have missed out on or haven’t played a franchise/game yet, but I guess playing your favorite game again (this time in HD) is a pretty strong driver too.

What do you think of the Bioshock collection? Yay or Nay. What do you think of the offer? What do you think of Bioshock collection. Let us know all and more in the comments.

  1. i wonder what improvements infinite has, im yet to finish it on PC but would it really be that much of an upgrade?

    1. Infinity wont be remastered for the PC, according to the steam announcement: “BioShock Infinite is not being remastered on PC because it already meets current-gen console standards and runs smoothly on high visual settings,”

      1. I read somewhere that only BioShock 1 and 2 are being remastered, infinite is just being built for the latest gen consoles.

        1. Yep! BS1 and BS2 are being remastered, whereas BS infinite is only being remastered for consoles.

    1. lol what pirates? you mean the ~4000 people who probably pirate it because they 1) couldn’t afford it anyway or 2) don’t have regional access?

      1. i guarantee you that i have spent more on skyrim and bethesda games than you. base games, collectors, goty, across every platform pc, playstation and xbox. asking full price for the console version of a game i get for free on pc is as unnerving as bethesda bs logic. in general the way bethesda has been doing business from placing lesser value on select customers to the failed hostile takeover of human head and the refusal to pay bonuses to obsidian is disturbing.
