Owlcat Games has unveiled a new teaser for the third DLC of its critically acclaimed CRPG, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, during February’s IGN Fan Fest. Titled “The Infinite Museion,” the upcoming expansion centers on the formidable and eccentric Necron Overlord, Trazyn the Infinite, a collector obsessed with acquiring rare artifacts and unusual specimens.
As with previous Rogue Trader expansions, “The Infinite Museion” will integrate directly into the main campaign, introducing new locations, quests, lore, and powerful artifacts. This installment places a strong emphasis on the Necrons, allowing players to equip unique implants and explore artifact-rich environments while navigating the manipulations of Trazyn himself. Owlcat has also teased additional surprises, including the reveal of a new companion character.
In addition to the DLC announcement, the studio showcased fresh combat gameplay footage from its upcoming title, Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy. While Dark Heresy retains the foundational combat principles of Rogue Trader, it introduces expanded mechanics. Players will be able to target specific enemy weak points with ranged and melee attacks, incapacitating foes or inflicting maximum damage on particular body parts. The system also features morale-based mechanics, enabling players to break entire enemy groups by overwhelming them — a fitting evolution for protagonists serving as agents of the Inquisition.
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is currently available on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG, as well as on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The first two DLCs are available on all platforms except Switch 2.
Meanwhile, Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy is set to launch on Windows PC through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, alongside console releases for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
