The Outer Worlds is among the most hotly anticipated games of this year. And according to Steam’s database, the sprawling space RPG helmed by the father of Fallout, Tim Cain and the director of Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines, Leonard Boyarski, is coming out on August 6, 2019.
The game’s supposed release date was revealed through a SteamDB update from the developers, Obsidian Entertainment. Even though the developers has since removed the release date, the game’s database history still hints at the “August 6th” launch date.
If this is indeed true and not a silly mistake, it means that fans of the Obsidian RPG niche will be able to visit the unique handcrafted worlds of The Outer Worlds soon enough. We’ll keep you updated.
The Outer Worlds is published by Take Two’s Private Division banner and will release simultaneously for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
