EA continues to expand on the EA Originals catalog by adding more titles. Among the announcements this E3, EA was committed to showing off newer games from already established smaller developers, though the partnerships may not surprise anyone. Zoink Games and Hazellight Studios will be partnering with EA for more recent titles. Glowmade will be joining them too.
Zoink Games already had a resounding success with EA as the publisher for its game Fe. Lost in Random, Zoink’s new game brings a brand new twist on the genre, adding strategy and action that “explores the chance of possibility in a beautifully dark and vivid world”. Hazelight Studios, developer of the famed A Way Out coop game, will be returning with another game, though they have not announced it yet.
Glowmade’s RustHeart is a coop RPG which follows the player and their handmade robot sidekick as they adventure across a vibrant, alien multiverse. Glowmade’s RustHeart “taps into the simple joy of creating in a uniquely cooperative setting: a compelling mix of tactical action-roleplay gameplay, player invention and spray paint.” A Sea of Solitude from Jo-Mei Games is also another game joining EA Originals, having a release date of July 9.
“We continue to connect innovative and creatively distinct new games from the best and boldest independent game makers to a global audience of players,” said Matt Bilbey, EVP Strategic Growth. “We want to offer our players the broadest, highest quality content possible, with the best access possible. Whether you join us to play EA’s biggest franchises like Apex Legends, one of the more than 200 games available from more than 85 content partners in our Origin Access subscription*, or for innovative EA Originals titles like A Way Out, we have something compelling to offer.”
