There’s been a lot of esports events in the country lately, with CSGO and DOTA 2 being the most watched and popular games. We have the ESL India Premiership, the ILG LAN tournaments, and so many more tournaments to watch and awe at the performances of the professionals. But what happens when people play a tournament consisting of casual games we have all played and grown up with? That’s what Nodwin Gaming is trying to accomplish, in association with Amazon, called Amazon GameOn: Masters India.
The Amazon GameOn Masters: India consists of five casual games – Ludo, Real Carrom, World Cricket Championship 2, World Table Tennis and Jetpack Joyride. There will be 4 online qualifiers for Carrom, Table Tennis, World Cricket Championship and Jetpack Joyride, while there will be 2 online qualifiers for Ludo. The qualifiers start from November 23, so go ahead and register yourself while you still have the time.
“Like sports, playing games competitively brings people together,” said Marja Koopmans, director of competitive gaming, Amazon. “With Amazon GameOn we are extending that social experience and allowing even more people to play together and improve their skills – and for those who watch to learn from the best. We’re excited to work with NODWIN to bring all casual gamers together and enable them to experience the joys of competitive play in top notch games in GameOn Masters: India.”
