After almost a year of PS4 exclusivity, Nioh 2 will finally grace the PC shores on February 5, 2021. Developer Ninja Theory and publisher Koei Tecmo have announced that the game will launch on PC via the Steam platform. Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition will include all three DLCs – the released expansions The Tengu’s Disciple and Darkness in the Capital, and the announced one The First Samurai.

A self-declared masocore game with a Souls influence, the Nioh franchise is rooted in the action-adventure role-playing genre. Nioh 2 is set in a fictionalised late 1500-era Japan where you play the character of Hide, a half-yōkai (a supernatural monster). The game has already garnered good reviews on the PlayStation platform because of its stellar combat system and difficult but unique bosses.

Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition will offer 4K Ultra-HD, ultra-widescreen compatibility, 144 Hz monitor support, tons of graphics options and fully customisable keyboard and mouse controls.

The only weird thing about this announcement is the exclusive bonus item that comes bundled to mark the occasion – a (hideous?) samurai helmet wrapped by a RGB keyboard and fitted with an oversized red valve at the back. Yep, you heard that right! Will the PCMR community be pleased by this offering?

Nioh 2 joins the ranks of games like Horizon: Zero Dawn and Death Stranding, which made a successful transition from their PlayStation roots to the PC. Which game is next? Tell us your predictions in the comments below!
