Yep, that’s right. Thanks to spot-on advertising, aggressive marketing, consumer appeal due to it’s hybrid nature and a strong lineup of first and third party titles, Nintendo’s latest system has sold 10 million systems worldwide within a year, confirmed by Nintendo Of America themselves, via the following tweet:

Congratulations, Nintendo. After the disappointing sales of their previous system, the Wii U, they’ve taken immense measures to rectify their mistakes and it’s starting to pay off.
Hopefully they continue their momentum into next year and beyond – and they likely will, considering that 2018 is going to be a big year for the Japanese publisher, owing to new first and third party game announcements. We can’t wait to see what the Big N has in store for us in the future.
