Capcom have confirmed that they will be revealing brand new footage and information regarding the next sequel in their iconic horror series, Resident Evil Village, at Tokyo Game Show 2020 i.e. on Sunday September 27th. The developers also apologized for the lack of new info in August.

The game is a direct sequel to the seventh Resident Evil game, which sold extremely well in the long run. It is also worth mentioning of a reputable Capcom insider Dusk Golem that claimed Resident Evil 8 will be the longest game on the RE Engine.

Resident Evil 8 is scheduled to release on PC, Xbox Series X and PS5 in 2021, and takes place a few years after the events of its predecessor. The game sees the return of Ethan Winters, who has relocated to Europe with his wife, Mia, although things soon take a sinister turn after their paths cross once more with Chris Redfield.
