The wait is finally over! EA just premiered the Official Reveal Trailer for the new Need for Speed, and it’s set to arrive on 8 November. You also get a 3 day early-access on PC if you’ve subscribed to Origin Access Premier.
And yes, the title is actually Heat, as speculated.
“Hustle by day and risk it all by night in Need for Speed™ Heat,” to go by their official description, “a thrilling race experience that pits you against a city’s rogue police force as you battle your way into street racing’s elite.”
According to the Press Release, Heat sends you to Palm City, a brand-new open world where street racers have gathered to make their names known. By day, players compete in a sanctioned competition where they earn Bank to customize and upgrade their garage of high-performance cars. At night, players risk it all to build their Rep in underground races where a rogue police task force roams the streets, ready to take racers down and swipe all their earnings.
Riley Cooper, the Creative Director at Ghost Games, has made it clear that listening to their fans, this time they’re going all-out on car customization and tuning. (And the customization finally includes your own character!)
