British indie developer Ustwo Games revealed their next game Alba: A Wildlife Adventure at the Day of the Devs showcase on the Summer Game Fest. After their wildly successful and critically acclaimed games like Monument Valley and Monument Valley 2, Assemble With Care and their VR venture Land’s End, Ustwo Games is bringing their charm and magic next to PC (Steam), iOS, MacOS, tvOS and consoles.

According to the devs, the new game is “inspired by the team’s love of nature” and a deeply personal story of “the team’s own fond memories of childhood summers in the Mediterranean“. Alba: A Wildlife Adventure is about a girl called Alba who visits her grandparents on a bright and sunny Mediterranean island for a peaceful summer of wildlife exploration with her friend Ines.

The game is said to focus on the nature conservation efforts of these two young activists. The team reiterates, “This is a game about how together, we can make a difference”. The teaser trailer is purposely secretive – showing only a few glimpses of the game. We are shown a camera, a field guide book to Mediterranean Fauna, an El Pinar Diario newspaper clipping about the two girls starting a wildlife league, and pamphlets talking about an island clean up initiative.

No specific release date has been announced. Expect more news in the next few months as Gameffine keeps reporting on the best upcoming indie games!
