After a series of leaks, Microsoft has officially let the cat out of the bag. The Xbox Series S is touted to be the smallest Xbox ever, and comes at an attractive pricetag of $299 only! The specifications of this smaller and cheaper alternative to the Xbox Series X has not been officially revealed yet.

Some leaks suggest that this next-gen console version will not have a disc drive, and can push for 60 FPS at a resolution of 1440p. The console looks to be the perfect launchpad for Microsoft’s very own videogame subscription service – the Xbox Game Pass. With the added bonus of backward compatibility in the next-gen Microsoft consoles, this version might just become the go-to Xbox for the budget-conscious fans. No official launch date is in sight, but a Windows Central article pointed it on November 10.
