Dark Light

Metro Exodus has been gaining a lot of traction lately, particularly due to its impressive graphics and evolution of the immersive first person gameplay. It was revealed that the game would use Nvidia’s new Ray Tracing technology to add a sense of realism and push graphical fidelity up a notch. German website PCGamesHardware took a sneak peek into the technical aspects of the game at Gamescom 2018, and they’ve found that the game will take advantage of Nvidia’s Hairworks and Advanced PhysX features.

Nivida Hairworks is a taxing feature which enables advanced simulation and rendering techniques for…well, hair. So far, we’ve seen it in action in games such as The Witcher 3, Far Cry 4, Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition, as well as Metro: Last Light. It will be interesting to see how Nvidia’s new line of RTX cards will run the game with everything maxed out when it finally releases.

Metro Exodus is set to release for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on February 22, 2019.
