In a surprise announcement, Rockstar revealed that LA Noire is coming to the PS4, Xbox One and Switch, with an HTC Vive spin-off version as well.
All three console versions – PS4, Xbox One, Switch – will come with the original game, DLC and exclusive enhnacements; the PS4 and Xbox One versions will have enhnaced lighting and clouds, high resolution textures, and will run at 1080p. There’s also 4K support for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
No visual upgrades have been specified for the Switch version but it’s also getting It’s own share of improvements: the Switch version will feature gyroscopic, gesture based controls, HD Rumble support, as well as new wide and over-the-shoulder camera angles, and even contextual touch screen controls for portable mode.
The HTC Vive version, called LA Noire: The VR Case Files, will feature seven self contained cases from the game and will be built from the ground up for the VR experience.
Of course this announcement really didn’t catch us off guard since it was rumored to be coming to current gen systems a few months ago.
The game releases on all four platforms simultaneously on November 14. Which version are you planning on picking up?
