Jeff Vogel is widely regarded as a legend in the indie RPG scene. Spiderweb Software, Jeff’s long time mom and pop studio has been making indie RPGs since 1994. Its no surprise that their latest crowdfunding venture has been fully funded in an under 24 hours.
Queen’s Trilogy: The Conqueror is the first game in a planned trilogy following in the footsteps of traditional Spiderweb RPGs such as Exiles, Geneforge, Avernum and Avadon. It will be an old-school 80’s-style RPG featuring a turn-based combat system, with a low budget but a deep story and lots of choices. The game is said to feature an enormous world, sharp dialogue, cunning quests, and fascinating characters.
The game hit its initial goal of $30,000 several hours ago and is currently standing at $35,474 with 28 days to go. A stretch goal of $50,000 guarantees an iPhone port and $75,000 will bring in an additional reaml with their own culture, beliefs, problems, and tendency to violence.
Queen’s Trilogy: The Conqueror is currently planned to be released on Windows, Macintosh and the iPad.
