An Indian company is taking its first step into the handheld gaming space. At the moment, details remain limited. ARC hasn’t shared the handheld’s specifications, price, or launch window, but says it’s building both the hardware and a broader gaming ecosystem around it. That includes a custom operating system, software services, and regular developer updates documenting the project’s progress. Click on the image below to join the waitlist.

The company has also launched a video series called Inside ARC, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the challenges of creating a gaming handheld from the ground up. The first episodes focus on how the project came together and the team’s early hardware prototypes.
Rather than treating the waitlist as a simple pre-order system, ARC says it wants early supporters to help shape the device through feedback before it reaches the market. Those who sign up will receive development updates, launch news, community access, and priority purchase opportunities when the handheld becomes available.
Dedicated gaming handhelds have seen renewed interest in recent years thanks to devices like the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and Legion Go. ARC is hoping to carve out a place in that growing market with a device designed for Indian gamers, though exactly what sets the hardware apart remains to be seen until more details are revealed.
