If you were sorry because you couldn’t play any Halo after Halo 2 on the PC, and have a blast with your buddies online as you “pawn dem newbs”. But unfortunately, for the more unfortunate PC players, Halo had become a restricted affair. With Microsoft’s recent change of heart, and the stealth launch of Halo Wars on PC after Halo Wars 2 came out on all platforms, Halo might not be an exclusive for long. But there is reason to be excited, because Halo Online, a modification for Halo 3 made to run on PC will be available for you to play and wait while word comes out from Microsoft about the release of Halo : Master Chief Edition on PC.

Originally developed for the Russian community, the mod allowed multiplayer games to be played in player-hosted servers and aims to restore removed features, fix bugs and glitches, and add mod support. Called EIDewrito, the newest version of the mod, 0.6, will be officially available for download on April 20 from the Halo online subreddit.

This is definitely something to get excited for, and you also get to show Microsoft a show of strength – the demand for Halo to be officially released on PC.
