CAGE Studios has announced that Gunstoppable will launch for PC and Xbox on August 5. Developed by former Sony Santa Monica developer Salaar Kohari, the roguelite FPS combines movement-heavy combat with score-chasing action and a satirical story centered on taking down a group of billionaire warmongers.

Players will sprint, slide, grapple, wall-run, and rail-grind through levels while fighting waves of robots and increasingly dangerous bosses. The faster you move, the stronger your weapons become, encouraging an aggressive playstyle built around maintaining momentum.

The game features 10 weapon types alongside dozens of attachments and augments that can radically change how they function. According to CAGE Studios, players will be able to create unusual combinations, including turning shotguns into flamethrowers and modifying projectiles with a range of special effects.

A newly released trailer also highlights several of the game’s enemies, including giant robotic crabs, flying assassins, and corporate bosses that serve as major encounters throughout the campaign.

The story follows a professional killer on a revenge mission against those profiting from war, with the entire operation broadcast live to a growing online audience. The campaign will feature voice performances from Gianni Matragano, known for ULTRAKILL, alongside content creator Neekolul and other cast members.

“Gunstoppable is a culmination of everything I’ve learned up to this point,” Kohari said, describing the project as a blend of fast movement, responsive controls, and narrative-driven action.

Gunstoppable launches August 5 for PC via Steam and Xbox consoles.
