Leaks, leaks, leaks. You love ’em. Internet is full of ’em. We reported last day that Ubisoft would be revealing the next Ghost Recon title tomorrow. But, things don’t always go as planned and someone over at Ubisoft did an oopsie.
According to this leaked image from Ubisoft’s German store, the next title in the long-running tactical shooter series is titled Breakpoint. An image of a collector’s edition briefly appeared on the store before being pulled and as usual, someone from the internet was quick enough for our sake.
According to speculation, Breakpoint would tie into the latest Ghost Recond: Wildlands DLC, Operation Oracle. Fan theories suggest that Operation Oracle’s Cole Walker (played by Jon ‘Punisher’ Bernthal) would be the main antagonist of the game and the story would have the players (because co-op) go after Walker who is a Ghost operative gone rogue.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint will be a story-driven 4 player experience and is planned for an October 4th release.
