Today, Fnatic welcomes a new addition to their Dota 2 roster! Saahil ‘UNiVeRsE’ Arora joins the team having departed his long-time organisation, Evil Geniuses, at the end of 2017.
A true legend of the esport and one of the most decorated Western players, the International 2015 winner first turned pro as far back as 2011 with Online Kingdom. Seven years and 16 Major appearances later, the veteran now starts his next adventure as FNATIC’s new offlaner!
FNATIC DOTA’s latest change will mean there is now a triple threat of Major winners within the roster: EternalEnvy and PieLieDie having been victorious at the 2016 Shanghai Major.
With UNiVeRsE incoming, it sadly also means that, in turn, Fnatic’s longest serving player and founding member of the team, Chong Xin ‘Ohaiyo’ Khoo, moves away from the starting roster.
Ohaiyo has been a core member of our DOTA squad ever since Fnatic’s return to the esport back in 2015. For nearly three years, he has been pivotal in forging a South East Asian dynasty with FNATIC, steering the team to a world renowned force within the international scene and creating some of Fnatic’s most cherished memories, especially that run in August 2016.
Ohaiyo will remain with the organisation for the time being, however he has been granted permission to explore his options moving forward.
The current Fnatic DOTA 2 lineup is as follows :
DOTA 2 LINEUP
#1 – EternalEnVy
#2 – Abed
#3 – UNiVeRsE
#4 – DJ
#5 – PieLieDie
Head Coach – Adam
