Dragon’s Dogma 2 is an open-world action RPG, where players take on the role of the “Arisen,” a hero destined to confront a powerful dragon in a vast fantasy world filled with monsters, kingdoms, and hidden adventures. The game features dynamic real-time combat, deep character customization, and a unique Pawn System that allows AI companions to assist players throughout their journey. Known for its immersive exploration and challenging battles against giant creatures, the game combines intense action with freedom of choice, making every adventure feel unpredictable and exciting.
Two-Phase Major Title Update
Ahead of the upcoming launch, there will also be a two-phase major title update roadmap for the base game to polish the gameplay experience while keeping the core freedom of adventure completely intact. The 1st Title Update, available starting today, 10th June 2026, introduces various re-tunings, reusable fast-travel item. A 2nd Title Update is scheduled for late August 2026, which will bring further performance optimization, frame rate enhancements, and additional save slots.

Pre-orders for the newly supported Nintendo Switch 2 version, which includes both the main game and all new content in a single all-in-one package begin today. Boasting the largest volume among all the additional content, “The Ruined Royal Land” takes the Arisen to Norgan, an abandoned northern territory covered in vast silver permafrost. Once a flourishing region under the kingdom’s rule, this harsh environment is now closed off by ice, snow, and relentless blizzards where hostile barbarians and monstrous entities far beyond human comprehension nest in the wilds. Alongside a mysterious dragon-hunter named “Eir,” the Arisen and their party must brave these deadly frozen wastes to unravel the dark secrets hidden by a fallen, undead dragon.
To survive this brutal new frontier, players will engage in thrilling, newly added hack-and-slash gameplay. Those who conquer Norgan’s dangerous encounters or possess a true knack for exploration can reclaim “Relics”, dormant armaments possessing extraordinary hidden powers. Bringing these spoils back to base to be appraised brings their true potential to light, granting the player’s gear with exceptional stats or completely unique skills. Securing these powerful assets will be vital for standing against the next formidable foe, adding an exhilarating and rewarding layer of depth to the journey.
② New Challenge Content: ” The Arisen’s Trial “
- 12 Unique Dungeons: Test your skills in The Arisen’s Trial, a new challenge-focused mode featuring 12 dungeons filled with powerful enemies and demanding encounters.
Guided by a mysterious overseer known as the Guide, players can take on a series of increasingly difficult trials to earn rare rewards. Those who conquer the deepest chambers may uncover legendary equipment once wielded by generations of Arisen, making each challenge a worthwhile pursuit for adventurers seeking the ultimate treasure.
③ Expanded Character Customization: New Hairstyles & Tattoos
