Remember the days of excitement, of breathless anticipation? When people were counting down, and expecting a new hero to enter the existing hero pool so that the meta can be changed a bit? Blizzard does have some ideas about changing a stale meta. Doomfist is a theory no more, he is real. And he is back.
Get ready to play with the offense hero Doomfist, the leader of the notorious Talon Organization, who wanted humanity to rule the world in the aftermath of the Ominic Crisis (which meant elimination of all synthetics). Doomfist has a hand cannon which does weak damage at range, but he is a powerful fighting force at close range. Armed with the abilities Seismic Slam (Doomfist leaps forward and smashes into the ground, knocking nearby enemies towards him), Rising Uppercut (Doomfist uppercuts enemies in front of him into the air), Rocket Punch (After charging up his cybernetic arm, Doomfist lunges forward and knocks an enemy back, dealing additional damage if they impact a wall), as well as the powerful Meteor Strike (Doomfist leaps into the sky, then crashes into the ground, dealing a significant amount of damage to all nearby enemies). Doomfist also passively generates armor through the use of his abilities, which makes up for the inability of a healer to reach Doomfist when he is wrecking havoc behind enemy lines.
