Discord has always been one of the best ways to stay connected with your friends since a long time, especially in current times when meeting in person is almost impossible.
In these dire times, Discord has introduced a new feature to suppress all the unnecessary background noises while you talk to your friends or colleagues over the app. No more dogs barking or disturbances in background while you talk to others.
We’ve integrated Krisp to improve our voice call experience even further. By toggling on Krisp we use machine learning to remove background noises that aren’t human voices such as dogs barking, vacuums, or doors slamming while still passing through your voice.
The new feature joins echo cancellation, noise reduction, and automatic gain control to make your calls even clearer.
However, this is only available on Beta currently. You can toggle the feature on in your Settings under “App Settings” → “Voice and Video” → “Advanced” → “Noise Suppression”.
If you want to read more about the new feature, check out the Krisp Beta FAQ page which explains how the feature works and answers some questions.
