Dark Light

Destiny 2’s next annual expansion, Beyond Light, has been delayed until November 10, Bungie announced in a new blog post today. It has been delayed to November 10 – roughly six weeks past its original September 22 release target. This is the second time Bungie has delayed a major Destiny expansion after Shadowkeep.

Beyond Light is the first chapter in a new upcoming trilogy of expansions which will include The Witch Queen in 2021 and Lightfall in 2022. Bungie says this is the start of a new era, with a powerful story and incredible new features.

“The past few months have been a challenge and will continue to be during this pandemic,” Bungie wrote on its blog. “We’ve learned to create together in a new way, by having to work apart from one another. Despite these hurdles, we’re still committed to the same level of quality that our fans expect.”

The Beyond Light expansion is now scheduled to arrive on November 10, and the ongoing Season of Arrivals will be extended till that date.
