Dark Light

Child of Light was released to critical acclaim way back in 2014 for PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, and PC. The artistic RPG platformer was developed by Ubisoft Montreal using its UbiArt Framework game engine. Earlier today, it was announced that the game, along with Ubisoft Montpelier’s WW1 inspired Valiant Hearts: The Great War, are coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Child of Light will be coming to Switch on October 11th, 2018 and Valiant Hearts: The Great War will be dropping on November 8th, 2018.

A recent tweet by Ubisoft Creative Director Patrick Plourde not just shows how the game will look like on Switch but it could probably be a tease for an upcoming sequel to the acclaimed RPG. The tweet in question is embedded below, it shows the game running on Switch’s hardware as well as a paper sheet, on the top right corner, which partially revealed the title “of Light II”. It is, of course, Child Of Light II and the way all the things were placed in the picture seems intentional by Plourde.

All things considered, this doesn’t mean it is officially confirmed by Ubisoft that a sequel is in works but given the game’s success and reception news about a potential sequel isn’t shocking. So, expect an announcement from Ubisoft in the coming days.
