Wall Street Journal’s Takashi Mochizuki recently translated an interview with Capcom COO Haruhiro Tsujimoto that was featured on the Japanese site Jiji.

Tsujimoto-san confirmed that Capcom has several games currently in development for the Nintendo Switch to be released after April next year; an Ace Attorney game is one of them. However, whether it’s a new game or port of an existing game, hasn’t been specified.

For those unaware, the Ace Attorney series of visual novels are one of Capcom’s most popular franchises and feature Phoenix Wright, an attorney at law who solves murder cases. First originated on the Game Boy Advance, the franchise has been Nintendo exclusive so far (and that trend seems to continue with the Switch) and is popular for it’s unique cast of bizarre ad memorable characters, great plotlines, witty dialogue and heated courtroom trail sessions.

The last Ace Attorney game was Spirit Of Justice for the Nintendo 3DS and with the Switch, it will be the first time the franchise gets the HD treatment.
