Update: It’s now official
If deleted tweets from the Borderlands 3 twitter handle are to be believed, the game is slated for release on the 13th of September, 2019. It’s also supposedly an epic store exclusive according to a leaked advertisement video that was uploaded on the 2nd of April 2019 (Also seen here. The advertisement also shows a release date of 13th September.
Tweets made by Randy Pitchford suggest that the exclusivity might last only 6 months. The tweet says “As a customer, I’m happy to shop in different stores – already do! I’ve bought games from Xbox, Playstation, Switch, Steam, Origin, GOG, Humble, Uplay, Epic and other stores. To me, exclusives are fine when they come w/ advantages and when they are short – say, six months 🙂 2/3”
