I hate survival horror genre. I tried playing Silent Hill Origins, and it scared the shit out of me. But there is a huge contingent of gamers out there who swear by such games.
And since IndianNoob accepts all kind, we are proud to announce that Alien: Isolation release dates have been announced.
Alien Isolation will be available from October 7th, 2014. Developed by Creative Assembly, the game will be available on PlayStation®4, X-Box One, PC, PlayStation 3 and X-Box 360.
For people who don’t know Alien: Isolation is a first-person survival horror game capturing the fear and tension evoked by Ridley Scott’s 1979 classic film. Players find themselves in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger as an unpredictable, ruthless Xenomorph is stalking and killing deep in the shadows. Underpowered and under prepared, you must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission, but to simply stay alive.
The trailer above captures the feel of the original movie perfectly. But you can’t tell a game by a 2 minute trailer. But if I had to, I would keep my distance from the game, because I don’t want to shit my pant in every 2 minutes.
Alien’s last tryst with video game was a disaster. Alien: Colonial Marines was branded a failure both critically and financially. The game moved away too much from the real allure of Alien providing gamers too much firepower. Alien: Isolation however looks to build on the smell of fear which was so prevalent in the original movie.
IndianNoob loves franchises, and I video games. So we really hope Alien: Isolation hits it out of the park this time.
