Late last month, a reputed UK based retailer ShopTo listed Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition with a January 16, 2018 release date. And now, it turns out the listing was true. There is an Arcade Edition of Capcom’s fighting game.
Amazon US briefly listed Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition on their site today (which can be still viewed by clicking the link) with the same aforementioned release date, for PS4 priced at $40, which translates to ₹2610 roughly.
The listing also reveals some interesting details, like inclusion of V-triggers and more:
- Arcade mode – choose from six different paths themed after classic Street Fighter games
- Gallery – unlock hundreds of illustrations as you play through arcade mode
- Extra battle – complete timed challenges to obtain exclusive costumes throughout 2018
- New v-triggers – each character will have two v-triggers, adding even more depth to the combat system
- New visuals – the user interface is being redesigned with new Color schemes, revised menus and exciting pre-and-post-fight effects
If the listing is anything to go with, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will be released on January 16, 2018. But don’t take the release date too seriously, it could be merely a placeholder.
Update: Its now official. Capcom, just about an hour ago, officially announced Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition with a teaser trailer. It’ll be released on PS4 and PC on January 16, 2018 (so this was not just a placeholder, anyway).
