Relic Entertainment at gamescom announced that Age of Empires IV is currently in development exclusively of Windows 10 PC.
Apart from the above announcement trailer, Microsoft didn’t reveal anything about the game. But as PC Gamer notes, Age 4 won’t be taking the game to a singular new era, from what we’ve seen in the trailer. Armies from previous games in the series are also seen in the trailer: Native Americans, British Redcoats, Roman legionnaires, Japanese samurai, and others.
