Today, Sega hosted a reveal event in Tokyo with Yakuza series Producer Toshihiro Nagoshi and officially announced Yakuza Kiwami 2.
Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a remake of the original sequel to Yakuza, Yakuza 2, released in 2006 in Japan and in 2008 for the western audience for PS2. The game will be released simultaneously in Japan and Asia on December 7th, 2017 for PS4.
Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be visually upgraded using Yakuza 6’s game engine, Dragon Engine. There will be updates to story, audio and the rest. Apart for these changes, one major addition is that Goro Majima will be playable in his own new events.
