Dark Light

Sales are all about making the best out of your budget and in some of the recent articles we have tried to help you out by making lists of games that will get you your money’s worth. Here we are again with a different price point in mind:

Aragami

Aragami is one of those few games that manages to do stealth right while still being able to give the genre a new twist. Aragami is all about moving in shadows containing equal parts strategic approach and gameplay pacing. The Japanese backdrop along with the art style and music give the game an authentic feel.

Screencheat

In an age filled with imitators instead of innovators, games that give a stale genre a neat twist are rare to come by. The main concept of Screencheat is that there are a certain number of invisible players in an arena and you, as the player are able to view each one’s perspective. The main objective is to track the location of each opponent through the information on screen and kill them.

Assault Android Cactus

Anyone interested in top down twin stick shooters should definitely try out Assault Android Cactus. Developed by a 3 man team in Australia, it is surprising to see the level of polish, quality of music and most of all the nuance in level design the game presents. Highly recommended for those looking for a challenge.

DESYNC

DESYNC is a pretty good old school FPS, who’s perfection is marred by small flaws here and there that do not affect the overall quality of the game, if you know and accept what the game is trying to do.

Ys Origin

Fans of JRPGs will be right at home with this one. The superb level design, the amazing soundtrack combined with a sort of cheesy story makes this game a must play for people looking for a change of pace. It might not be able to stand toe to toe with giants like Persona or some of the better Final Fantasy games, but it sure has a charm of it’s own.
