Award-winning developer and publisher Stormind Games has officially unveiled Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, the third entry in the acclaimed Remothered survival-horror franchise. Announced during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase, the game is set to launch later this year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The upcoming installment will serve as the grand finale to the narrative established in the first two titles while introducing a refreshed creative direction through enhanced gameplay systems, cinematic storytelling, and new visual elements.
Alongside the announcement, Stormind released the first of three planned developer diaries celebrating the franchise’s return. In the video, CEO Antonio Cannata and Game Director Antonio Cutrona discuss the motivations behind revisiting the series. They explain that the studio aims to honor the franchise’s roots while providing long-time fans with narrative closure. At the same time, the team is expanding the established gameplay formula with new mechanics and surprises designed to engage both returning players and newcomers alike.
In Red Nun’s Legacy, players will explore a mysterious convent where reality is constantly distorted, and secrets lurk in every corner. Survival depends on careful observation and quick thinking as players uncover disturbing revelations surrounding the enigmatic Red Nun. Throughout the journey, they must evade relentless Stalkers hunting them through the environment while piecing together the truth hidden within the convent’s walls.
The Remothered series first gained widespread recognition with Remothered: Tormented Fathers, which debuted in 2018 and was widely praised for its tense atmosphere and intricate narrative. Beyond the Remothered franchise, Stormind Games has built a strong reputation in the horror genre. The studio developed the 2024 title A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead for publisher Saber Interactive and has collaborated with Behaviour Interactive. In 2025, the team also co-developed Mafia: The Old Country alongside Hangar 13, contributing to the game’s cinematic storytelling and immersive atmosphere.
