We recently reported that a possible Bayonetta and Vanquish Pack for PS4 and Xbox One might be on its way. But in other news, it seems we’re also getting a Shenmue 1 & 2 Pack for PS4 and Xbox One, as well.
As leaked by multiple European retailers yesterday late night, a possible Shenmue 1 & 2 remastered versions are coming to PS4 and Xbox One.
Retailers site such as Alza, a Czech retailer and few Slovak retailers like Heureka, GetGame, MadGamer, all of them listed Shenmue 1 & 2 Pack for both PS4 and Xbox One. While there’s no such sign of release date found in the listings, GetGame listed the package with a generic “2017” release window. But as happens with most of the retail sites this could be a mere placeholder and you should take it with a pinch of salt.
If the listings are anything to go with, Heureka and GetGame priced the game pack as €50 (which translates to ₹3835 roughly), whereas, MadGamer lists at €59.90, approximately ₹6400.
Apart from the listing nothing has been provided by any websites. This could be an embargo error from the distributor’s side which prompt the sites to make the page go live.
Anyway, Sega has yet to comment on any Shenmue-PS4 port, but an official announcement could be coming soon. Maybe during Sony’s TGS event.
Shenmue is a game from industry veteran Yu Suzuki, who needs no introduction, originally released in 1999 on Dreamcast, followed by Shenmue 2 in 2001. Yu Suzuki is currently delved himself in development of the third game in the popular series, Shenmue III, which was announced during this year’s Gamescom.
Thanks, DualShockers.
