If there is one thing the Elder Scrolls Series does right, it’s the mesmerising soundtrack and ambient score. Credits go to veteran composer Jeremy Soule for lending his talent to the series ever since Morrowind, way back in 2002.

There’s little to nothing we know about The Elder Scrolls VI other than the small clip of the landmass shown in Bethesda’s E3 2018 conference, accompanied by a modified version of Soule’s Morrowind theme. Today, however, Jeremy Soule took to Facebook to let inquiring fans know that he is not currently working on the next mainline entry in the series.

“As so many of my fans have asked… While I’ve not said much about this out of courtesy to Bethesda, I would never turn my back on TES, and I believe that my involvement would hinge on a creative decision on their part and where they want to take the franchise. To confirm, I am currently not involved with TES VI.”, he wrote.

This might not mean that Soule is getting replaced for the highly anticipated open-world RPG. It could just be that the game is in its early stages of development and the team are yet to decide on the musical aspect.

We’ll let you know as we learn more.
