It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Chris Avellone, the man who had hands in the writing of Fallout 2, Planescape: Torment, Mask of the Betrayer, KOTOR 2, Fallout: New Vegas and the upcoming Dying Light 2. I am also a fan of various Star Wars games and other forms of media. It looks like my two favorite things are coming together once more.
Chris Avellone has been confirmed to work on Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order which is set to be revealed in April at Star Wars Celebration. While it’s everyone’s favorite EA publishing the game, there is hope for the single-player Star Wars title, as it’s been worked on by the developers of Titanfall and Apex Legends, games which turned out to be great despite the EA label. Thanks to the folks at PC Gamer, we now know that Avellone’s LinkedIn page confirms that he did, in fact, work with Respawn from February 2018 to January 2019 doing story work, story/character reviews, and cinematic scripts for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. And if there is anything that man does best, it’s the writing.
Also, the ‘big bomb’ he seems to be working on might be the Vampire game Paradox are teasing via the ARG, Tender. The research the guys and gals at PC Gamers did also support this theory. So that makes me even more excited.
Today, is a good day.
