There are two things with no shortage in sight on the internet these days: Batman: Arkham rumors and SJW propaganda. While it’s none of our business to indulge in the latter, we surely have some new info on the former, i.e, news on what could potentially be the next Batman game…or not.
The studio behind Batman Arkham Asylum, City, and Knight are currently staffing up for a big marketing campaign, to start showing off their big new triple-A game (pretty much guaranteed). We know for a fact that it’s not a Harry Potter or a Superman game.
The various jobs can be viewed on Rocksteady’s own website, and include posts such as Video Promo Artist and Lead Brand Artist for Marketing, as well as a Senior Producer role on the new AAA game. The description for the video artist post reads that it will be for “a global marketing campaign for a very high profile, triple-A game franchise”. Hmmm…we wonder what and when that could be?
The latest Arkham rumor to hit the internet was Rocksteady’s super-secret Batman game centred around the Court of Owls which was quickly shot down by Kotaku’s Jason Schreier. The one before that was more credible in its source and hinted that WB Montreal is working on a Batman game centred around the Court of Owls too, which is probably a given at this point. It is unlikely, but not unproven that both studios could be working on the same IP. But we figured Rocksteady would take a little break from making Arkham games for a while.
