A few days back, there was quite some hue and cry among GTA Online players as many got a message “GTA VI, coming 2019”, which led to widespread speculation that Rockstar Games might be working on a new Grand Theft Auto. While that may be true, dropping hints through official channels is something Rockstar Games would never dream of.
Twitter user Wess decided to ask Rockstar Support the reason of the messages. Rockstar Support’s reply stated that it was a “hoax” caused “due to mods”.

It was pretty logical too, considering that Red Dead Redemption 2 is releasing in 2018, and an official announcement about a new Grand Theft Auto will reduce the hype, and in turn, sales of Red Dead Redemption 2.
However, it might be likely that Rockstar Games has something planned out. Maybe the announcement of a new Grand Theft Auto in 2019? For now, we can only speculate.
