Square Enix’s timed exclusive Rise of Tomb Raider originally released last month exclusively for Xbox One. Square Enix, in July, also announced it for a PC release with an unknown date of ‘early 2016‘. But earlier this week, the game listed on company’s official Steam page. It was also listed by Amazon France and suggests a release date of January 29, 2016 it can be noticed that the box art for the game with compatible version of windows listed in the product description.
The reason for releasing it early may be due to it’s underwhelming sales. Not many people bought the Xbox One and consequently not a lot of them bought the game. Releasing it on the PC may propel the sales because of the sheer size of the community. We are expecting the game to be good due to the various positive reviews given by other sites on the Xbox. In that way, Rise of the Tomb Raider is following in the footsteps of its predecessor with highly positive reviews but under-whelming sales.
We’ll be sure to tell you how the game is on PC. Crossed fingers for the port to be good. If you’ve not played the 2013 reboot, Tomb Raider, go catch it. It’s up for grabs for INR 84, on the steam sale, which is cheaper than a McChicken. Do check it out. It’s an awesome game.
On January 2016, ‘Baba Yaga: Temple of the Witch’ DLC for Xbox One users is also releasing followed by the game’s official PC release, but sadly PS4 users had to wait for the game’s release until later in 2016.
