In a recent interview with GamesIndustry, Ready At Dawn’s Creative Director, Ru Weerasuriya had the following to say about Nintendo’s console:
“Every time a platform comes out, we always feel like there’s something really cool that can be done with it – a huge graphical advance, a huge technological advance, a new way of interacting in games like VR does. Switch, I think, is the same kind of thing. We see it and we see the market that they’re trying to really kind of grab, expand, and also build. I would definitely tell you that, yeah, internally at the studio there’s a lot of interest for the Switch.”
Consisting of ex-Naughty Dog and ex-Blizzard employees, the developer is largely associated with Sony as a second party studio, and is popular for their PSP offerings: Daxter, God Of War: Chains Of Olympus and God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta. They also handled the Wii port of the PS2 cult classic Okami and made The Order 1886 for the PS4. Their latest game is Deformers, a multiplayer physics based brawler for PC, PS4 and XB1.
