PlayStation VR, Sony’s virtual reality headset for console, might be making its way to PC.
Sony Computer Entertainment’s Vice President, Masayasu Ito, implied about the “possibility” of PSVR’s compatibility with PC. As reported on PC Gamer, he told Nikkei:
“Since PlayStation 4 shares a lot of its components with PCs, the possibility is there. At the moment we are focused on games and we are not ready to make any announcements at this stage, but I’d say there will be an expansion into various fields.”
However, he didn’t make any clear statement about the possibility as they want to focus primarily on games first but there are still chances of it to be PC compatible.
PlayStation VR is triumphant in keeping itself apart from other VR headsets like Oculus Rift and HTC Vive mainly due the price point. But one thing’s is for sure – if PlayStation VR gets PC compatibility it’ll definitely overshadows the rest VR headsets.
