PUBG Corporation has announced a slew of changes for PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS. The new update adds a new Bizon SMG with 53 bullets as its standard clip size, and uses 9mm bullets. The Bizon can only support muzzle or sight attachments, so silencers and compensators are a no-no for it.
The new update also adds the Canted Sight, a new attachment that equips onto a secondary sight slot for guns that support it. Most guns in the game will be getting secondary slots too, so the canted sight is a useful attachment for tackling opponents at closer ranges.
Lastly, the update adds night mode to Vikendi, which allows for a dark experience in the frozen lands, with only the aurora borealis to guide players seeking firefights.
The update also optimizes performance on Vikendi by optimizing footprints and the “dynamic weather” of the map. A host of UI changes, followed by the addition of two crates, out of which the East Erangel Police Crate holds a Battlestat AKM. Battlestat weapons keep a track of enemies killed with the weapon (sorry, CSGO!). The Fall 2018 crate is a random crate that opens without a key, and can be received as a random crate in-game.
The PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS test server has already received the update, with the update coming to official servers momentarily.
