Gamer Network has revealed the fantastic feedback received from its EGX Rezzed attendee survey, further solidifying its position as London’s premier games event. More than 17,000 enthusiastic gamers joined over 125 exhibitors at the historic Tobacco Dock in East London from the 30th March – 1st April to celebrate the best of gaming from around the world.

With over 220 playable, pre-release games and experiences from the indie scene sitting alongside blockbuster AAA titles, Esports and cutting edge VR technology, EGX Rezzed was yet again a thrilling preview of the year ahead in games.

As part of the exit survey attendees were asked to vote for their favourite game from the event. Persona 5, the latest in Atlus’ massively popular series, emerged on top and has been crowned EGX Rezzed 2017 Game of the Show.

Attendees were treated to the latest playable code ahead of the game’s release on 4th April. Dan Cooke, UK Marketing Manager for Koch Media/Deep Silver said: “It’s an incredible honour for us to be awarded Game of the Show for Persona 5 at EGX Rezzed 2017. The praise we’ve received from gamers and critics since the launch of this unique RPG title from Atlus has been incredible, and we hugely appreciate this “Game of the Show” Award. EGX Rezzed is a fantastic event which plays host to some of the greatest Developers, Publishers and Gamers from across the world and we would like to thank everyone involved in making this incredible event what it is. Simply put EGX Rezzed has become an invaluable opportunity for us to showcase our most innovative and exciting titles to an audience of highly engaged gamers.”

Yooka-Laylee took the runner-up spot, with brand new playable code shown in collaboration with LG on cutting edge monitors, attendees were delighted to get hands-on with the wonderfully nostalgic platformer before its release in mid-April. RiME was also a huge hit with visitors who had the opportunity to try the gorgeous looking Unreal Engine powered adventure title for the first time in Europe, way ahead of its launch in late-May.
