Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines, the swan song of Troika games is widely regarded as a modern RPG classic. Bloodlines, developed by the highly talented Troika and published by Activision was a commercial failure, plagued by bugs and crashes before being fixed by the community. Troika is no more, but World of Darkness licence holder Paradox Interactive has expressed interest in making a sequel.

In an interview with PCGamesN, Paradox CEO Fred Wester said the company were considering ongoing possibilities for the franchise. However, Wester claimed that “it needs to feel right, it needs to be the right team for the game.” Wester also suggests it’s unlikely that a new Vampire game would be Bloodlines 2, but that it could be “something Vampire RPG“.

Although nothing is set in stone, the possibility of an RPG set in White Wolf’s World of Darkness doesn’t seem to be an impossible task anymore.
