Nightmare Creatures was a little known survival horror game released for the PC, PlayStation and Nintendo 64 back in 1998. It was developed by Kalisto Entertainment and published by Activision.
Set in 1666 London, a cult group calling themselves the Brotherhood Of Hecate creates a magical elixir that bestows superhuman powers to take over the city however the experiment goes wrong, resulting in victims turning into nightmarish monsters. It’s upto Ignatius Blackward, a priest and Nadia, daughter of a friend of Ignatius who was murdered, to put an end to the horror. Now it’s getting a revival.
First noticed by Rely On Horror at the PAX West 2017 panel, the reboot is being developed by indie dev Albino Moose, known for Spooky’s Jump Scare Mansion: HD Renovation. The game takes place before and after the events of the original game and is planned for release on current gen consoles and PC. Here’s the official website.

The original game was decent, although the low draw distance, clunky controls and poor camera angles could be problematic. The sequel, for PS1 and Dreamcast wasn’t really well received either. Hopefully this reboot sets things right.
